How are everyone’s attitudes in the midst of home life? How are you creating and encouraging a daily routine for yourself and others?
Creating routine is key to helping manage all kinds of moods. Take notice of this “Daily Checklist” and give it a try. Yes, daily! Make this part of your routine in whatever order suits you best:
Examples: walk the dog (again!), 50 sit ups, a run, join a yoga group on Zoom
Examples: Memorize a verse, write a prayer, read a devotion, meditate, listen to worshipful music
Examples: Complete homework, attend a class, listen to a quick podcast or TED talk, focus on work, read a book
Examples: Look for the good in anyone’s effort and acknowledge it, buy someone groceries or a coffee, call a grandparent
Examples: Share a funny meme, tickle your kids and/or spouse, listen to your favorite comedian…. laugh!
This checklist can be a great tool to use during dinner discussions: “Let’s go around and have each person share one thing from their checklist they feel good about today!”
Here’s the awesomeness of asking questions:
- Intentionality in conversation creates more authentic relationships.
- Accountability encourages consistency.
